01 / The problem
Dutrow LLC runs a multi-location car detailing business with more than 20 branch websites. Customers had to call or message to book, and enquiries that came in after hours went cold.
An embedded scheduling widget would have looked nothing like each brand, and the same booking had to work on every branch site.
02 / What I did
- Built a reusable module in plain JavaScript, HTML and CSS that drops into any of the company's sites, with no framework or build step.
- Gave it two entry points: a compact service picker for home pages, and a full flow of seven steps: service, location, date and time, customer details, card details, confirm, done.
- Let each site set its own name, contact details and colour theme in a config file, while the markup and scripts stay the same.
- Connected it to the company's backend API for services, address lookup and live time slots, and fixed CORS issues together with the backend developer.
- Tokenized cards with Stripe only at the confirm step, so raw card data is never stored in the browser.
03 / The result
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| How customers book | Phone call or message | Online, any time, in 7 steps |
| Card details | Taken separately | Tokenized with Stripe at confirm |
The same booking system now runs across more than 20 branch websites, each in its own brand colours, from one codebase.
